Boarding

Will my dog(s) have their own room?
Yes, absolutely! We do not have our boarding dogs share a room (unless they are from the same family and have been booked together). We don't overbook our facility as we will not compromise on the comfort, wellbeing and safety of our boarders.

Can my dogs share a room?
Dogs from the same family may share a room. If your dogs have ever had a fight, we recommend booking individual rooms as a dog's behaviour can escalate when in a different environment and surrounded by other dogs. If your dogs stay in different rooms, they can still play together in the exercise yards and we will endeavour to put them in rooms close together.

What is included in the price?
Our price is all inclusive! No sneaky extra fees for medication, own food or yard time. Your dog will get to enjoy their room and own personal outside courtyard throughout the day (for dogs staying in our Sapphire and Ruby rooms) and will have yard time in one of our large outdoor yards 2-3 times per day weather permitting. Small social dogs staying in our Diamond rooms will have access to the indoor play area and outside yards.

Can I add extra walks or playtimes?
Yes, you certainly can spoil your dog with paid aditional one on one playtimes, walks or cuddles.

What are the drop off and pick up times?
Check-in and checkout times are from 8:00am to 11:30am, or 2:00pm to 4:00pm, 7 days a week. We are closed from 11:30pm to 2:00pm daily. On public holidays, our check-in and checkout times are 8:00am to 11:30am, or 2:00pm to 3:00pm. We are not open for check-ins or checkouts on Good Friday or Christmas Day.

What do I need to bring with my dog?
The only essential is a well-fitted flat collar with their name (or a nametag) on it.

Can I bring my dog's bed?
We provide trampoline beds and have a range of comfortable blankets. You are welcome to bring a small, washable blanket if you like, however we cannot accept any other form of bedding or cratesfor hygiene reasons.

What vaccinations does my dog need to have?
All dogs must have had a C5 vaccination. This is made up of a C3 vaccination and a Kennel Cough vaccination. If your dog's vaccination have lapsed by 2 weeks or more, they will need to wait 2 weeks after being re-vaccinated before they can come in. Puppies must have had their full course of puppy vaccinations and wait 2 weeks after their final vaccination before they can come in. There are no exceptions to our Vaccination Policy. We recommend ensuring that your dog's vaccinations are kept up to date at all times to avoid any disappointments in terms of bookings.

Do I need to bring my own food?
We provide a premium dry food (Meals for Mutts Kangaroo & Lamb, or Salmon & Sardine for dogs with allergies) and wet food is available if needed.
If your dog has food allergies or requires a specialised/prescription diet, it is a good idea to supply your own food. Please clearly label any food bags or containers and remember to bring along whichever scoop you usually use to dispense dry food. We have refrigerators and freezers for food that needs to be kept cold.

What if my dog needs medication?
All medications (excluding injections) can be administered by our supervisors at no additional cost. Medications must be clearly labelled and correct instructions provided. If you use a special food product to help administer medications (ham, cheese, peanut butter etc.), please bring this along too.

My dog does not like other dogs. Is this a problem?
We understand that some dogs do not like the company of other dogs. If your dog does not socialise, that's okay. They will be able to play in the exercise yard by themself. We recommend paid bush walks for non-social, high energy (i.e. working dogs) and long-term boarders. Please ensure you are upfront about your dogs behaviour, we do understand that all dogs have different needs.

Will my dog get a bath after boarding?
We offer a complimentary bath and blow dry if your dog has stayed with us for 6 days or more. There are coat restrictions, so dogs with heavy/double coats such as German Shepherds, Huskies, etc. will not receive a complimentary bath, but you may add a paid wash and blow dry if you wish.

If your dog is staying five days or less and you would like them to come home nice and fresh, you can add a paid Wash & Blow-Dry. You can request this on check-in.

Can I come and have a look at the facility?
You are welcome to come and tour the facility between 10:00am-11:00am or 2:00pm-3:00pm any day of the week (excluding public holidays). Please call the office ahead of time so we can ensure we have a staff member available for your tour.

Can I bring my dog to have a look?
While we welcome you to come and have a look through our facility, we ask that you leave your dog at home. We have strict protocols requiring us to verify vaccination status and ensure the wellbeing of all dogs before entering the facility.
We also like to keep our boarders as settled and relaxed as possible, and they can become very excited and loud when new dogs come in. In order to minimise the amount of disruptions, we like to avoid dogs coming in unnecessarily.
If you would like your dog to become familiar with the Centre and our staff, we recommend booking them in for an overnight stay or a couple of days of daycare (social dogs only).

Do you provide board & train services?
No, while we have staff who are qualified trainers we do not provide training here and do not recommend board and train services. We find training to be more effective and beneficial to dogs when done with their pawrents as it allows you to bond with your dog and tailer training to your dog's individual needs. Check out our Local Dog Trainers page for a list of positive reinforcement trainers we recommend.

Daycare

What happens at doggy daycare?
Dogs are matched with other dogs that are similar in size, temperament and energy levels in a small group. They will get to run around and play with those dogs and may move into other groups. We do not socialise dogs who have a history of aggression towards other dogs or people. Please be honest with staff about your dog's history so we can keep everyone safe.

What time is drop off and pick up for daycare?
You can drop your dog off from 7:00am-11:30am and pick them up from 2:00pm-5:45pm.

What does my dog need to attend daycare?
Your dog will need to be up to date with their C5 vaccination and puppies will need to wait two weeks after their third vaccination.
All dogs need to wear a well-fitting flat collar with their name on it.
If your dog is undesexed, they will need to wear a pink/blue 'Entire' collar each time they attend. These can be purchased from reception and can be returned for a full refund once your dog has been desexed.

What areas does your doggy daycare bus service?
We service most suburbs from Gateshead up to Newcastle and out to Cardiff & Warners Bay. Please reach out to us if you would like to know whether we can service your area.
